Ornamental Fabricator

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Ornamental Fabricator, where your craftsmanship and technical expertise will bring intricate metal designs and decorative structures to life. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality ornamental metalwork, including custom railings, decorative panels, and architectural features. Your skills in welding, sheet metal work, and blueprint reading will be essential to delivering exceptional products that enhance architectural aesthetics. This position offers a vibrant environment for skilled artisans eager to contribute to innovative projects and refine their fabrication talents. Responsibilities Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate ornamental metal components. Use various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal machinery to shape and assemble metal pieces. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metals securely and precisely. Measure materials with calipers and micrometers to ensure exact dimensions aligning with project specifications. Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and pipe threading tools safely to handle heavy materials and complex assemblies. Fabricate ductwork, architectural features, and decorative elements in accordance with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Requirements Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background in metal fabrication or related fields. Strong proficiency in welding methods including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding; certification is a plus. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, mechanical drawings, and basic math for precise fabrication. Experience operating power tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, hand tools, and machining equipment. Knowledge of rigging techniques, crane operation, pipe threading, soldering, and plasma cutting processes. Ability to interpret technical specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards for quality assurance. Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal work, ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and manufacturing procedures.
