  • Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The therapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, with a focus on promoting mental wellness and recovery. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient needs Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions across outpatient settings Utilize evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral management techniques Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management strategies Document all clinical encounters accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Collaborate with case managers, medical professionals, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health trends, medication management including psychopharmacology, and diagnostic criteria for various mental health disorders Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with emerging therapies Experience Proven experience in outpatient mental health settings with a focus on clinical counseling and patient care is preferred Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and addiction counseling Experience working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, special education populations, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols Telehealth experience preferred to facilitate remote patient engagement Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is essential Ability to handle complex cases involving PTSD care, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, gender issues counseling; experience working within inpatient or outpatient clinics is advantageous Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.
