Overnight Kennel Attendant

Duties Monitor and care for animals overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort, and health throughout the shift Perform animal handling and restraint with confidence to prevent injury and promote calm behavior Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, watering, administering medication, and cleaning kennels Conduct regular walk-throughs to check on animals' well-being and respond promptly to any signs of distress or illness Maintain detailed records of animal activities, health status, and any incidents that occur during your shift Assist with pet grooming or pet sitting duties as needed to support overall animal care services Communicate effectively with team members and clients to relay important information about pets' needs or behaviors Qualifications Prior experience in kennel work, pet grooming, veterinary assisting, or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a strong plus Experience with veterinary technician tasks or veterinary assistant responsibilities is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or animals Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and team members Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet care best practices Reliable, energetic, with a passion for animal welfare and providing excellent care during overnight hours

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
