Specific responsibilities include assisting with operations, packaging, quality assurance, and other assigned tasks. Candidates must demonstrate reliability and the ability to work independently. Your starting rate of pay will be disclosed on your offer letter and dependant on the position and your skill level. Responsibilities Operate and Maintain Packaging Equipment:

Set up, operate , and monitor packaging machinery to ensure smooth and safe operation. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues. Final banding and stretch wrapping of finished goods.

Quality Control:

Inspect products and packaging materials for defects, ensuring only quality products are packaged. Remove defective or damaged items from production.

Packaging and Labeling:

Accurately pack products, seal packages, and apply correct labeling including product details, batch numbers, and expiration dates.

Inventory Management:

Track packaging materials inventory; notify supervisors when supplies are running low to prevent downtime.

Cleanliness and Safety:

Maintain a clean, orderly workspace, following all health and safety protocols to avoid contamination and accidents.

Team Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with production staff, maintenance teams, and supervisors to ensure efficient packaging workflow.

Essential Skills Technical Proficiency:

Ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot packaging machines safely and efficiently.

Inspection and Tools:

Ability to safely use chop saws, hand tools, tape measures, calipers, and fully comprehend the label identifying product dimensions and verifying those dimensions fall within tolerances. Attention to

Careful inspection skills to detect packaging and product defects.

Physical Stamina:

Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate to heavy objects (often up to 50 lbs or more), and performing repetitive motions.

Problem-Solving:

Quick decision-making to resolve packaging issues and machinery faults.

Clear communication skills to work within a team and report issues promptly.

Safety Awareness:

Strong knowledge of safety standards and hygiene regulations applicable to the packaging environment.

Physical Demands Standing and Walking:

Continuous standing for long durations is required during shifts.

Lifting and Carrying:

Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials/products typically weighing 25-50 lbs; occasional heavier lifts depending on the workplace.

Repetitive Movements:

Regular use of hands and arms for operating machinery and packaging tasks. Flexibility for regular squatting, kneeling, and bending over.

Environmental Conditions:

Work performed in factory or production floor environments with noise, temperature variations, and dust or product residues. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Manual Dexterity and Coordination:

Handling materials and controlling machinery require good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
