Job Description
PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods
SUMMARY:
The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating packaging machinery, monitoring production lines, and ensuring that products are packaged in accordance with company standards and specifications. This role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production flow.Work schedule:
Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:30pmJOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety. Basic math skills needed Must be able to follow verbal instructions Effective communication and teamwork skillsPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow directions given by the Line Leader/Back-Up Leader Assists Material Handler in bringing scheduled components to the line. Verify components upon entry to the line and stocks components to be used according to the lowest lot number first. Ensures each position is fully stocked with the appropriate component. Reviews packaging specification and pick slip during start-up to assure product is being packaged as specified. Responsible for the proper operation of machines in assigned zone. Communicates to Line Leader and/or Backup Line Leader any issues pertaining to the quality of the product, safety concerns and machinery malfunctions. Assist in monitoring and training new employees for On-the-Job Training (OJT) Ensures the line is always well maintained, clean and clutter-free. Provides 100% inspection of labeled bottles, IFC's, blisters and master shippers for the correct Lot # and expiration date. Responsible for cleaning up zone area first during changeovers, upon completion assist fellow coworkers with their zones to expedite the changeover. Counts returns and rejects by weight or physical count. Deliver return to the reconciliation area. Must be willing to work overtime when required Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
