Job Description

Job Summary The Painter will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paint or coatings to products, components, or structures according to company specifications and customer requirements. This role is essential in ensuring the quality, durability, and appearance of the finished products. Skills/Abilities Proficiency in using spray guns, airbrushes, or other paint application equipment. Knowledge of paint types and their properties. Attention to detail to ensure a smooth, even finish. Key Responsibilities Must be reliable, cooperative, with high attention to detail, and work well independently and as part of a team. Ability to read blueprints and interpret bills of materials and routings. Prepare parts for powder coating, which may include cleaning, plugging, masking, protecting, or assembly per work instructions. Select proper hooks per part to hang on the paint line. Apply powder coat paint evenly to parts to ensure consistent paint finish within mill thickness tolerances. Perform color changes, blow out lines and paint guns. Efficiently unload parts from the paint line, inspect to ensure quality, assemble when required, and package per customer specifications, able to recognize non-conforming parts. Count and record number of completed parts per job order, complete reject tag when necessary. Assist in touch-up painting when necessary. Clean up and properly store department supplies and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Properly dispose of paint products. Monitors work assignments and communicates any concerns with lead.
Physical Demands :
The employee is regularly required to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Lift up to 75 pounds, occasionally maneuver through pushing or pulling greater than 75 pounds. Regular reaching overhead and at or below shoulder level, with gross and fine manipulation with hands and fingers. Specific vision abilities include near, far, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in industrial painting is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in paint application, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 2nd, Mon-Thu, 12:00p-10:00p
