Painter/Stainer

As a Painter/Stainer, you will work hands-on performing interior and exterior painting, staining, surface preparation, touch-ups, and restoration work. You will work alongside experienced carpenters and project leads to restore properties impacted by damage, ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets company and industry standards. This role requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean finishes and understands the importance of precision in restoration work. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting and staining, including sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, and priming Apply paint, stain, sealers, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Perform interior and exterior painting and staining on walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinetry, decks, and other surfaces Match paint colors and finishes to existing surfaces when needed Protect surrounding areas with masking, tarping, and proper site preparation Inspect finished work to ensure quality, consistency, and clean finishes Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain a clean and safe job site Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors Assist with other carpentry or restoration tasks as needed Benefits Package Includes 401(k) plan Medical & Vision insurance fully covered by 24Restore Dental insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Steady, year-round work Schedule Monday-Friday schedule (Rotational on-call weekend) Start time: 8:00 AM Hours may vary depending on workload and season 40+ hours per week, with opportunities for overtime Requirements Painting, staining, or general construction experience preferred but not required Strong interest in painting and finishing trades Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods) Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Availability for occasional overtime, including emergency situations Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, depending on project needs Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong work ethic and attention to detail
