Job Description:

Riley, Pope and Laney is currently seeking an experienced default servicing paralegal to fill a full-time, on-site position in our Matthews, North Carolina office. The experienced default servicing paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support the attorneys. The ideal candidate will be a team player, detail oriented, organized, flexible, self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position requires a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn client websites and Case Management Software. Pay is based on experience. Duties include, but not limited to: Draft and file pleadings along with motions and other legal documents Prepare and mail letters to borrowers/occupants Communicate with clients, courts, sheriff, etc. Update and communicate with clients using client systems Work independently to track and maintain timelines and workload Assist attorneys in other matters as needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma 1 or more years of paralegal experience in real estate or foreclosure Detail-orientated Willing to learn and grow Ability to work with others
