Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Paramedicto preserve the health of employees and client personnel. Receive / render shift report to outgoing / incoming shift Assists with the managing of daily medical operations and prioritizing tasks. Complies with all applicableACUITY INTERNATIONAL
standards and guidelines. Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements. All Health Care Providers (HCPs) will document care delivered and follow up care required. EMT-P will use and maintain common emergency equipment, such as backboards, suction devices, splints, and oxygen delivery systems. Participate in training, (including HIPAA training) Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act. Identifies and records signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions. Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision-making on a daily basis. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel as needed. Conduct medical supplies and equipment inventory each shift. Complies with all applicableACUITY INTERNATIONAL
standards and guidelines. Other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications:
Graduated with High School diploma, GED or equivalent education required. Associate degree preferred. Must maintain an NREMT-P unrestricted certification Unrestricted licensed in the state of service. Willingness to work flexible schedule and fill in when needed is strongly preferred. Completed an approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, and certification as a Paramedic. Two years' experience as an EMT-P. Two years' clinical and/or EMT field experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Must hold an unrestricted State License ACLS and BLS. PHTLS, ITLS, and PALS are preferred. All Healthcare Providers and medical support staff must have a recent clinical experience in patient care for a least 6 months out of the past year. Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License. Must have a valid U.S. Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration. Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English. Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be "medically and dentally fit" in accordance with Acuity Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as directed by the Client. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel to Ascension Island is required by air.
