Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Become a vital part of a rural educational community as a dedicated professional supporting students and staff across two welcoming school districts near Florence, MT. This unique contract opportunity for the upcoming academic year allows you to engage with diverse learners and make a lasting impact while enjoying the charm of Montana's scenic countryside. The position welcomes both experienced paraprofessionals and those with general education teaching backgrounds who are eager to contribute in a collaborative setting. Your assignment will be split between two districts: you'll spend three days per week at one district and one day per week at the other, allowing you to gain varied experience and forge lasting relationships across both teams. The role begins August 21, 2026, and continues through mid-June 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
Background or certification as a paraprofessional or general education teacher Previous experience in a school setting is desirable Collaborative attitude and willingness to support students and staff Excellent communication and flexibility to transition between districts Open to candidates who thrive in a rural environment Team player ready to contribute to school-wide initiatives
Your Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers in daily instruction and activities, adapting as needed for individual student needs Support both academic and behavioral goals under the supervision of district staff Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in every classroom Communicate with other educators and support teams to ensure student success Contribute to the overall well-being and advancement of each district's educational mission Working in these rural districts offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference and build close-knit professional relationships.
