Part Time Bartender - Weekends

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a professional and mature individual to join our team at our Beer Bar, Bottleshop & Cafe in the South Lake Union District. The right candidate will demonstrate nice customer service and good communication skills. We have a special focus on hospitality and drink service in a team driven, open table plan that functions as a tap room, bottleshop and cafe environment. (No super late nights as we are never open past 12am).ResponsibilitiesWarmly welcome and engage customers with an emphasis on hospitality as they enter the storeMaintain a clean bar and a safe work environment at all timesRepresent the company brand as respectfully as possible, using company standards and culture as guides.

Adhere to company dress code, self conduct, and health policies at all times.

Communicate effectively and have the ability to articulate rudimentary beer and coffee knowledge.

Work collaboratively with other team members and management daily to run a successful shop operation and help create a positive work environment.

Assist guests by making recommendations and choosing beers, ciders, meads, & wines from our constantly rotating selections of beverages on tap or to go from the bottle selection. Pour beverages according to cicerone guidelinesRespond to and practice responsible serving of alcoholic beverages.

Accept deliveries, stock product, write checks to distributorsStock retail items, face product, maintain accurate price tags, and perform inventory counts

Required Skills & Licenses:

Passion for craft beer and other craft beverages with a focus on qualityOutgoing personality with a focus on excellent hospitalityAbility to multi-task and assist multiple guests during busy times; always focusing on the overall guest experienceAbility to lift and move objects that are up to 50 poundsProblem solving skills when not everything is going to planWashington State Alcohol Server Permit - MAST (can be obtained before employment)King County Department of Health Food Handlers Permit (can be obtained upon employment)Cicerone Certified Beer Server (can be obtained upon employment)

Preferred Skills:

Previous sales, retail and/or hospitality experience.

Homebrewer and/or other beer industry experience.

Certified Cicerone or BJCP judge
