Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) to join Clermont Surgical Ambulatory Center. The Certified Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) will work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist to provide high-quality anesthesia care. The role involves ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in anesthesia practices and patient care, demonstrating expertise in various medical settings including hospitals and outpatient facilities. Coverage for one of our 2 OR's and 2 Procedure rooms. Services include, Ophthalmology, Retinal, Plastic, Pacemakers, GI, Plastics and our new Catherization Lab with Coronary Interventions and Peripheral Vascular. Depending on our scheduling, you may start off with one or 2 days a week and possible more. Availability to cover vacations. This is a 1099 position and must have own Malpractice. Terms are negotiable. The CAA role is crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures, with a focus on both adult and pediatric populations. Responsibilities
  • Preoperative Assessments:
    Evaluate patients' medical histories and physical conditions to develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Anesthesia Administration:
    Administer anesthesia drugs and gases during surgical procedures under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
  • Monitoring:
    Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Postoperative Care:
    Assist in the recovery process by monitoring patients as they regain consciousness and addressing any complications.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care. Qualifications Must be a

  • with current certification Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, equipment, and medications.
Proficient in medical documentation practices to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Must have an ACLS.
