Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Customer Service and Grocery Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will make a real difference in our customers' shopping experience! In this role, you'll be the friendly face that helps customers find what they need, provides exceptional service, and ensures the store runs smoothly. Whether assisting with merchandising, stocking shelves, ringing up purchases at the POS (Point of Sale) system, or engaging customers with product demos, your proactive approach will keep our store vibrant and welcoming. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to gain retail experience while balancing other commitments. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are well-presented through effective merchandising techniques Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities (Month of March) Maintain store cleanliness and organization by stocking shelves and ensuring aisles are clear and inviting Ensure store closing lists are completed Ensure cleaning lists are completed (Trash, floors, counters, bathrooms, etc) Support supervisory staff with training new team members and supervising daily operations when needed Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive problem-solving approach Familiarity with upselling techniques, and product demonstrations to enhance sales opportunities This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail skills in a fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while supporting store operations through merchandising, stocking, and sales activities, we want to hear from you! Starting Rate $16/hr with store discounts. Must be available Friday, Saturday and Sundays. (With summer Holiday Availability). Typical shifts would be 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
