Your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service will be essential in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and compassionately, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or health-related referrals when necessary Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care and maintenance between visits Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments Support team members with general kennel or animal care duties as needed, including light lifting of animals and maintaining a safe environment Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred, especially with dogs of various breeds and sizes Preferred formal training Knowledge of dog training techniques, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician experience is a plus Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet sitting, kennel experience, or heavy lifting contributes to effective job performance Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Demonstrated ability to handle animals safely while providing excellent care in a fast-paced environment Join us to make every pet's grooming session a positive experience!
