Job Description
Redwood Medical, a premier healthcare destination in the greater Denver metro area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. Our clinics provide comprehensive primary care, mental health, and aesthetic services. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate employee to work in a medical setting in a diverse role interacting with patients and providers. This role will be in our Castle Rock, CO office. Success in this role requires the ability to multi task, take initiative, follow processes, and impeccable customer service. You will be supporting 1-2 primary care providers. We are looking to fill this position as quickly as possible. This role is critical to both clinic workflow and patient satisfaction as well. Redwood offers many opportunities for growth and is expanding with new clinics each year. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting detailed medical histories and accurately recording vital signs using EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Perform clinical tasks such as administering basic injections and tests (swabs, B12 shots, etc). Manage medical administrative support functions including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, updating patient records, and coordinating referrals. Ensure compliance with clinic guidelines on refills, referrals, appointments, etc. Assist provider in answering questions from patients and triaging messages Take initiative to help the clinic run smoothly such as inventory, stocking rooms, ensuring adherence to OSHA guidelines, etc. Experience 2-3+ years proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in fast-paced healthcare environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, private practice, or urgent care centers. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology. Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters. Familiarity with basic rapid testing such as strep, flu, etc. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration techniques Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Experience drawing medications with different formulations would be beneficial Bi-lingual skills are a major plus!!! Must be able to work both individually and in a team environment, taking initiative to help co workers as able.
