Part time Floor tech needed for strip and wax work New Market/ Luray

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Floor Technician to join our team for strip and wax work in the New Market and Luray areas. Responsibilities Perform floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing to restore and maintain the appearance of various flooring surfaces. Conduct thorough cleaning of floors, including carpet cleaning and spot treatments as needed. Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to ensure optimal results. Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. Follow safety procedures during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or damage. Assist with general janitorial duties such as restroom sanitation, surface cleaning, and supply replenishment. Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Requirements Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and floor scrubbers safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy equipment or supplies, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
