Part-Time Occupational Therapist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team at a Rural Health Clinic specializing in Family Medicine and Behavioral Health services. In this role, you will help improve patients' independence, daily functioning, and overall quality of life through individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. You will work alongside a collaborative healthcare team to support patients in an outpatient clinical setting, providing care that promotes both physical and behavioral wellness. This position offers competitive compensation based on patient volume and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) reimbursement, providing strong earning potential as services continue to grow. Responsibilities Assess patients' functional abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to improve daily living skills and mobility Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and self-care routines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions between care settings Work with individuals with disabilities, autism, geriatrics, pediatrics, or those recovering from injury or illness in diverse environments such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or schools Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving motor skills, coordination, and cognitive functions based on physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Conduct case management activities to monitor progress, adjust care plans as needed, and document patient outcomes accurately Support early intervention programs and occupational health initiatives by designing appropriate therapy strategies Qualifications Current Louisiana Occupational Therapist license Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Previous outpatient or rural healthcare experience preferred, but not required Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Join us in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services that transform lives! $40.00 - $50.58 per hour
