Job Description
JOB The City and County of Broomfield is hiring for a part time Parks Technician II on the Structures crew.

The installation and repair of all park shelters and amenities. Performing safety inspections and repairs to playgrounds and equipment. Repairing and maintaining park assets such as painting,picnic tables, park benches, and graffiti removal. Shelter Preparation and cleaning for rentals.
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Physical demands are described as medium (exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).Duties require a full range of physical motion and activities including manual labor.
Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday with some weekend and holiday work requiredRequired On-Call responsibilitiesRequired to work special events on holidays, weekends, and outside normally scheduled working hoursRegular contact is made with employees in other departments and the public.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to inspect, maintain, repair, and install a variety of park amenities throughout the City and County of Broomfield Parks and Open Space system. Responsibilities include upkeep of benches, trash receptacles, picnic tables, lighting fixtures, dog stations, signs, grills, memorials, pond aeration systems, fences, docks, pergolas, public art, and other park features. Additional duties involve maintaining park shelters, restrooms, and buildings, performing plumbing repairs, winterization tasks, and handling electrical work on 120v circuits, including lights and appliances. This role also includes preparing park shelters for reservations, ensuring they are ready prior to scheduled events.Please

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Duties require a full range of physical motion and activities including manual digging, pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting and turning the upper body, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, crawling, reaching for objects, walking and standing. The incumbent must also be alert to peripheral activities when operating equipment and therefore must have a full range of movement in the neck and shoulders.Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
