Job Description

Job Summary Reporting to the Building Commissioner with direction from the Head Clerk the Principal Clerk and Scribe is responsible to compile statistical data related to Building Department functions send out violation notices receive and process complaints in an orderly and timely fashion assist with drafting Board of Appeals decisions and minutes and overall administrative support for the Building Department. The incumbent will also maintain records relating to Building Department matters assist with applications answer phone calls assist with reviewing applications index and file numerous records. Additionally this position shall assist in general office duties and perform related work as requested by the Building Commissioner.
