Part-time Position Summary:
The Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a landfill. Responsibilities may include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties. The starting hourly range for this position is $17-$18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Sorts all incoming loads to assure materials are accepted and handled appropriately for disposal. Inspects work areas and incoming loads to ensure all materials are in full compliance with facility and material acceptance standards. Directs incoming and outgoing transportation to ensure it is controlled to comply with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements. Cleans and fuels equipment as needed. Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism in the areas of facility management and compliance. Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a self-directed individual, have a high school diploma or GED, and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment. An ability to communicate effectively, a dedication to safety and a proven commitment to work are vital. The physical ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time and work under many different weather conditions are required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the shift.
