Part Time Truck Driver

Position Summary:

Overnight Sofa is looking for a dependable and experienced Part-Time Truck Driver to join our team in Hickory, NC. This position requires a CDL A and the ability to pass a DOT drug screen. The role involves moving trailers around our yard, daily pick-ups of wood frames from suppliers, a weekly trip to Kings Mountain, and occasional deliveries to our showroom in High Point. This position typically averages 16-24 hours per week, with work hours falling between 7 AM and 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely move trailers around the yard at our Hickory location. Pick up wood frames daily from our suppliers. Complete a weekly trip to Kings Mountain and occasional deliveries to our showroom in High Point. Maintain proper documentation for all trips and ensure the safety and maintenance of company vehicles. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with suppliers or at delivery locations.

Job Requirements:

Valid CDL A (Commercial Driver's License) is required. Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen . Previous truck driving experience is preferred. Ability to operate large trucks and trailers safely. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Flexible schedule with availability between 7 AM and 5 PM, averaging 16-24 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary. Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.

Hours & Pay:

Must be available to work part time hours between the hours of 7a and 5p Monday

• 24 hours during a week in this time frame. Hours and times may vary week to week depending on vendor and production needs. Pay rate is $22
• $24 / hour depending on experience.
