Within a dynamic Chaplaincy Services environment, the Pastoral Care Manager will guide a compassionate chaplaincy team that offers 24/7 spiritual presence, crisis prayer, bereavement and grief resources, and interfaith support across inpatient and ambulatory settings; this Spiritual Care Manager will help expand pastoral services across rounding, family conferences, and ethics consults while cultivating a chaplaincy culture that is inclusive, trauma-informed, and closely connected to the surrounding neighborhoods, all while remaining close to the city, community feel to ensure seamless engagement with patients, families, and staff from diverse traditions.
Reporting to a Director of Chaplaincy Services or Mission Integration, the Pastoral Care Manager will receive strong administrative and clinical support while overseeing board-certified chaplains, residents, interns, and volunteers; as the Spiritual Care Manager, key responsibilities include building interdisciplinary partnerships with nursing, care management, palliative care, behavioral health, and social work; coordinating on-call coverage; standardizing evidence-based spiritual assessments and EHR documentation; advancing outcomes through data dashboards; leading debriefs and staff resilience programs; and driving service line initiatives with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team committed to excellence and empathy.
