Job Description
Patient Services Representative Manager notes: Must have good phone voice and communication skills, professional. Function mostly as an operator or scheduler. They transfer and take calls. Needs to be dependable and customer-oriented. Strongly prefer someone with a medical background, but not required. Job description ```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical office
- Verify patient information and update records as necessary
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Collect payments and process insurance claims
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents ```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role or dental office is preferred
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
