In this vital role, you will patrol the City of Lawrenceburg to deter criminal activity, respond swiftly to incidents, and ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve with integrity while developing your law enforcement career. 12 hour shifts 48 hour week and a 36 hour week Take home fleet Starting pay $22.81 plus KLEPF upon completion of the academy Duties Conduct regular patrols on foot, and vehicle across the city to monitor activity and identify potential issues Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency calls, providing immediate assistance or escalation as needed Enforce laws, regulations, and property rules with professionalism and respect while maintaining public safety Investigate incidents by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings through detailed report writing Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor high-risk areas and prevent unlawful activities Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management techniques and de-escalation strategies Qualifications Hiring new candidates and lateral. Prior Law Enforcement experience is not required Ability to be certified in first aid and CPR in order to provide emergency medical assistance when required Strong report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for patrol duties involving vehicle operation Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively Familiarity with animal care and handling is advantageous for community safety initiatives Ability to pass KY POPs Test minimum requirements.
