Part-Time for around 15 hours/week, primarily during the run of theatrical productions for a 5 show season. Shifts for weeknight and weekend availability is needed, with a strong need for some occasional Wednesday daytime hours.Salary:

In 1979, Delaware Theatre Company found its first home in an abandoned firehouse in downtown Wilmington. After minor renovations funded by the city, individual donors and sweat equity, the company was ready to put on a show. From that very first day, the goal was to show that theatre—an ancient, powerful art form—could touch every human emotion. DTC has succeeded in doing so ever since. About the Position The Patron Experience Associate is a customer-facing position serving in the Box Office, Concessions and as the House Manager. There will be a focus on certain positions to start, but may be trained in all 3 mainly to help out during the active event process, while the show is running.Duties and responsibilities include:
Report to the Patron Experience Manager. Provide exceptional Customer Service for sales/orders/exchanges of single tickets, subscriptions, group tickets, and gift certificates via telephone, email and/or in person. Screen visitors and telephone calls and direct to appropriate staff members. Help with deliveries and greet/assist those entering the lobby. Positions are for those who are good at being self-managed while on shift, and can work well with the team to ensure an overall great customer experience. Serve as Box Office Associate/House Manager/Concessioner during respective shifts. Hours vary, including days, nights and weekends. In addition to performance days, the Box Office is open Monday-Friday 10am to 4pm for in- person sales & patron services. Additional duties on performance days fall under the appropriate positions and include addressing patrons' needs in an efficient and courteous manner; managing volunteer ushers; managing the pre and post-show experience while always focused on safety and comfort of patrons; selling beverages and packaged foods; restocking all patron spaces; prepping for show parking needs; keeping the theater, lobby and public spaces neat and tidy. Perform Settlement and box office/cash drawer count out at start and end of each shift. Required Qualifications Candidates should meet all these qualifications to apply: 1 to 2 years retail and/or administrative experience, preferably working with the general public. Night and weekend availability a must, Wednesday daytime a plus! Professional demeanor with excellent telephone manners. Excellent written and verbal communication, basic math skills. Organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on safety and quality.
