$100 hour Overview A large, enterprise-level organization is seeking a Contract Payroll Union Manager to support high-volume payroll operations related to union employees. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in payroll processing, union data management, and ERP systems within complex, multi-entity environments. Key Responsibilities Union Payroll Processing & Reconciliation Process weekly and monthly union dues and employer contribution payments across multiple unions with strict deadlines Reconcile payment requests against payroll reports and ensure accuracy and completion Perform month-end reconciliation of union payroll balance sheet accounts Union Relations & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for union representatives Provide required documentation and reporting to unions on a scheduled basis Partner with internal teams (e.g., labor relations, operations) to resolve discrepancies and inquiries Payroll Systems & Data Management Maintain and update payroll configurations in ERP systems for union dues and contribution structures Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of payroll data and system changes Ensure accuracy of employee deductions including union dues, 401(k), and benefits elections Reporting, Audits & Compliance Compile and manage data for union audits (pension, health, 401k contributions) Respond to external requests for employee data and payment verification Generate standard and ad hoc reports for accounting and finance teams Process Improvement & Special Projects Identify data inconsistencies and support continuous improvement initiatives Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and testing efforts Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing high-volume union payroll data Experience with large-scale ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar) Strong understanding of payroll processing, costing, and general ledger reconciliation Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP EC Payroll Background in entertainment, media, or other union-heavy industries Experience supporting ERP system configuration, implementation, or testing Interview Process Two rounds of interviews (virtual) Final step includes a live Excel assessment What Success Looks Like Accurate and timely union payroll processing with minimal discrepancies Strong relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders Clean, reliable payroll data and reporting Proactive identification and resolution of issues before escalation
