Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (100% onsite initially; potential for 1 remote day after training)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Benefits & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations for our client. This role will work closely with HR leadership and Accounting to help manage employee benefits programs and assist with payroll processing. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional looking to expand their experience in payroll while strengthening their expertise in benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with processing payroll, including tracking hours, leave balances, and employee deductions Review payroll data for accuracy and partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies Support administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments and updates Guide employees through onboarding and benefits selection processes Help manage open enrollment and communicate updates to staff Process qualifying life events and ensure timely updates to benefit elections Coordinate with external vendors and carriers to maintain accurate benefits data Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies and benefits Maintain organized and confidential employee records and documentation Provide general administrative and operational support to HR and Accounting teams
Qualifications:
1-3+ years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or related field Exposure to payroll processes or strong interest in learning payroll administration Familiarity with benefits such as
FSA, HSA, 401
(k), and insurance plans High level of attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (Paycom or similar preferred) Professional demeanor with strong reliability and follow-through Prior experience in a professional services environment is a plus
