Job Description

Overview:
New Hope Community, SHS Division is a nonprofit organization providing community based services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the lower Hudson Valley. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll & Billing Coordinator who will have full charge of the payroll process including reconciling the biweekly payroll to the associated fee for service Medicaid billing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare biweekly payroll including: Perform other related duties/back up as requested. Reviewing electronic timesheets for accuracy. Tracking accruals for employee vacation and sick time. Reviewing and processing employee expense and mileage reimbursements. Creating and transferring electronic files for direct deposits, taxes, and 401k. Preparing and posting payroll-related journal entries to the General Ledger. Reconcile payroll to related billing before forwarding to Billing Analyst. Create invoices for employee time worked on outside contracts. Review and maintain employee and payroll changes to various software platforms. Field calls and emails from employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll-related tasks and reporting. Assist in the preparation for annual audits.
Expectations:
Attention to detail is a must. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize/follow-up on assignments to meet deadlines. Comfortable learning/utilizing numerous software platforms including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and UKG Pro Understanding of Medicaid billing a plus. Willingness to adapt to change.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Minimum of Associate degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience Intermediate level Excel skills
Pay:
$35.00 - $37.00 per hour
