Commensurate with Experience Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team in a fast-paced construction environment. ing directly to the VP of Finance, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing weekly union payroll across multiplepanies, maintaining payrollpliance, and supporting reporting, audits, and year-end activities. This role requires stronganizational skills, payroll accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for multiple unions andpanies accurately and on time Prepare certified payroll reports and union reports on a weekly basis Generate monthly utilization and payroll-related reports Assist with year-end W-2 preparation, reconciliation, and payroll tax reporting Support union, workers'pensation, and general liability audits Maintain accurate payroll records and ensurepliance with federal, state, and union regulations Collaborate with internal departments on payroll inquiries and special projects Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience within the construction industry Strong understanding of union payroll, deductions, and certified payroll reporting Experience with payroll tax reporting and W-2 preparation/reconciliation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Experience with Timberline and/or Viewpoint is a plus Excellent attention to detail,anization, and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Self-motivated team player with strongmunication skills Notary Public certification preferred or willingness to be a Notary Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid Holidays, Vacation, and PTO 401(k) with discretionarypany match Life and Disability Insurance Today If you are an experienced payroll professional with construction industry knowledge and union payroll expertise, we encourage you to and be part of a growing and collaborative team.
Pay Details:
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program,muter benefits and a 401K plan.
