Job Description

Job Summary A PCA Qualified Professional is a licensed professional who trains, supervises, and evaluates PCA staff to ensure quality care for clients in their homes. They develop service plans, conduct regular on-site supervisory visits, and document care, requires strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Training
  • Training, supervising, and evaluating PCA workers.
  • Care Planning
  • Developing and updating the service delivery plan for each client.
  • Monitoring
  • Performing regular, on-site visits to ensure quality service.
  • Documentation
  • Documenting supervisory visits, staff performance, and changes in the client's condition.
  • Compliance
  • Ensuring services meet Minnesota Health Care Programs standards. Requirements
  • Professional Licensure at minimum the QP requires four years of full time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets designated coordinator criteria.
  • Background Study:
    Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background check.
  • Training
  • Must complete a PCA Qualified Professional Training within six months of hire.
