Pediatric Dental Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our pediatric dentists while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting and knowledge of pediatric dentistry will be crucial in delivering high-quality care. NJ State Radiography License Required. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting patient information and treatment plans. Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling to optimize office efficiency. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas according to safety standards. Experience Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred, particularly in a pediatric setting but will train the right candidate. Familiarity with dental systems, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is essential. Knowledge of anatomy related to pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
