Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized therapy services to children across various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention programs, and inpatient facilities. Your expertise will help young patients develop essential skills for daily living, improve motor functions, and enhance their overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families through innovative, personalized care. Duties Assess children's developmental, sensory, motor, and functional abilities to create tailored treatment plans Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, and sensory processing Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans Assist with discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing therapy needs and home modifications Work with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities to promote communication, social skills, and independence Conduct therapy sessions in outpatient clinic Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to meet individual goals Requirements Valid occupational therapy license in the relevant state or jurisdiction Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Experience working with pediatric populations in diverse environments such as outpatient clinics, early intervention programs, or inpatient settings Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to pediatric health conditions Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment for children with disabilities Strong case management skills to develop effective care plans and coordinate services across providers Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delays, or other pediatric disabilities Ability to assist children with ADLs and support families during discharge processes Prior experience in acute care settings such as ICU or skilled nursing facilities is a plus Knowledge of early intervention practices and outpatient clinic procedures is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members Join us in delivering compassionate pediatric occupational therapy that transforms lives!
