Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a contract Speech Language Pathologist to provide in-person services for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role focuses on supporting preschool through 6th grade students, collaborating directly with special education professionals and families. Lead impactful change in a dynamic educational setting where your expertise and creativity are valued.
Qualifications:
Active Washington SLP license required Certification as CCC-SLP or CFY candidates encouraged Experience working in schools and/or healthcare with pediatric populations Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and consultation within special education Demonstrated understanding of special education processes, procedures, and disability categories Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with staff, families, and community members Capacity to plan and organize all phases of student identification and support Strong communication skills, including active listening and collaborative problem-solving Enthusiasm for incorporating fun and humor into daily practice
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students identified for services (Preschool-6th grade) Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with the Director of Special Education, educators, and families to ensure student success Document and monitor student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute expertise to the multidisciplinary team Foster an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners As a valued member of our team, you'll have access to comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, along with 401(k) options and travel stipends for eligible candidates.
