Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of children as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working in a supportive school environment near McHenry, IL. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of pediatric speech services, collaborating alongside educators and families to nurture student communication and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligibility for SLP licensure in Illinois Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also encouraged to apply Experience with pediatric populations, ideally in a school-based or healthcare setting Confident with developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and providing therapy to diverse caseloads Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments for students referred for evaluation Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions (group and one-on-one) tailored to each child's needs Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and family conferences to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance with state and federal regulations Serve as a resource for teachers and families, offering strategies and education to support carryover of skills This contract role offers the chance to grow professionally in a collaborative, education-focused setting.
