This contract opportunity is tailored for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference with PreK and Kindergarten students. The position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 2 to 2.5 days per week, with manageable hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active professional licensure in Illinois (or eligibility) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Proven experience working with young children in educational settings Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, staff, and families Ability to tailor interventions for early childhood developmental stages Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy sessions for PreK and Kindergarten students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on speech, language, and communication goals Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations to support student needs Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district regulations Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom modifications and strategies
