Providing engagement, support, and mentoring to residents of the Rose Hill Residential Rehabilitation, Transitional Living, and Community Support Programs.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Engagement and mentoring of residents of Rose Hill's Residential Rehabilitation Program. Assisting the Admissions Department with family/potential resident tours. Assisting newly admitted residents on the day of admission with the structure of the residential program, daily/weekly schedule and treatment experience. Assisting staff with off-campus outings by accompanying residents and staff on outings. Facilitating psychoeducation and didactic residential groups. Facilitating recovery group for TLP/CSP participants. Participating/supporting residents in the person-centered treatment planning process. With requisite completion of training, licensing and experience, meeting with assigned residents for one-to-one mentoring sessions. Participating in regularly scheduled communications with the resident's treatment team, including the therapist, psychiatrist, vocational coordinator, and social communication specialist. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED certificate). Recipient of mental health treatment or services for at least one year with a substantial life disruption due to a mental health issue. Peer Support Specialist license or be eligible to complete training and licensing in the State of Michigan. Sustained mental health stability for at least six months since the most recent residential treatment or hospitalization discharge. Some college experience or degree. Past work experience or training in the mental health/social services field. Ability to meet the certification in CPR and First Aid. Ability to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of the residents. Capable of handling emergency situations.Similar jobs in Holly, MI
