Job Overview Southern Response is looking for A Class Pipe Welders that must have copper-nickel experience. Must be able to pass a drug test, physical and background check. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Per Diem Pipe Welder to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. As a Per Diem Pipe Welde r, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and pipe fitting tasks on diverse systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry codes. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read schematics will be essential in delivering exceptional results on every assignment. Responsibilities Perform welding operations using TIG, and other welding techniques on pipes and related components following blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine proper welding procedures and pipe layouts Use measuring tools such as calipers and schematics to ensure accurate cuts, bends, and fittings in accordance with project specifications Soldering and tube bending tasks to connect various piping systems efficiently while maintaining quality standards Maintain safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities by rigging materials properly and using appropriate personal protective equipment Assist with maintenance or repair tasks involving pipe systems or related mechanical components as needed Skills Proficiency in TIG welding, and other welding methods suitable for diverse materials and applications Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and ASME codes & standards for piping systems Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, soldering, tube bending, rigging, and the use of hand tools and power tools Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations Familiarity with maintenance procedures involving pipe assembly, troubleshooting leaks or system failures Knowledge of safety practices including proper rigging techniques and adherence to OSHA regulations Join us as a Per Diem Pipe Welder where your expertise fuels critical infrastructure projects!
