Plantsville, CT Job Details Seasonal 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Dancing Full Job Description Position Summary The Mascot serves as an energetic and engaging ambassador for Mount Southington, creating memorable guest experiences through interactive appearances, events, and on-mountain activities. This role supports marketing initiatives, enhances the family-friendly atmosphere, and represents the Mount Southington brand in a positive and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Interact with guests of all ages in friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner Participate in on-mountain appearances, base area activities, lessons, races, and special events both on-mountain and at offsite events and activities Pose for photos and create memorable moments for families and children Promote upcoming events, programs, and area offerings when appropriate Assist with crowd engagement during events, competitions, and themed activities Support social media and promotional content creation as requested Follow costume handling, storage, and care procedures Maintain appropriate behavior and character persona while in costume Maintain a high level of awareness while working in winter conditions and in high-traffic guest areas Qualifications Outgoing, energetic, and comfortable engaging with the public Strong non-verbal communication skills Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to wear a mascot costume for extended periods of time Ability to walk, stand, and navigate snow-covered, icy, uneven, and changing terrain, surface and subsurface conditions Ability to perform light physical movements (waving, dancing, posing) Ability to tolerate varying winter conditions Ability to tolerate heat and limited visibility while in costume Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
