Standardized Patient Emulator Northeast Georgia Health System | Simulation Center Play a Role That Shapes the Future of Healthcare Ever thought about combining a love of acting with a passion for helping others? As a Standardized Patient Emulator at NGHS, you'll step into the shoes of a patient or medical staff member to help train the physicians, nurses, and health professionals who care for our community every day. Working from detailed scripts and direction, you'll portray the signs and symptoms of various medical conditions in a simulated patient room — helping learners build the empathy, connection, and clinical assessment skills that make great healthcare providers. No invasive procedures are involved, and shifts are scheduled on an as-needed basis around the Simulation Center's training calendar, making this a great flexible, part-time opportunity. What You'll Do Accurately portray a patient, simulating and verbalizing a variety of physical symptoms and behaviors Participate in healthcare simulation activities that may include interviews, history-taking, and selected non-invasive physical activities while maintaining personal comfort and established program guidelines. Memorize detailed patient histories and case information to respond authentically to learners' questions Provide constructive feedback to learners from the patient perspective using established feedback tools and guidelines. Be comfortable being videotaped and/or observed during exams Bring flexibility to your schedule and commit to shifts as booked
What You'll Bring Required:
High school diploma or
GED Preferred:
Acting, theatre, or drama experience or training Multi-lingual proficiency Skills for

Strong memorization skills with the ability to accurately portray specific symptoms and behaviors Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and consistency when portraying patient cases and interacting with learners A flexible, adaptable mindset with creative problem-solving skills A professional, customer-service-oriented demeanor with strong interpersonal skills Why Join NGHS?
