Student Ambassadors are part of Admissions who represent OCC at campus events. The main role of Student Ambassadors is to conduct campus tours for prospective students, family and community members. They also assist the Office of Admissions by participating in student panels, meeting with visitors to provide a student perspective, and networking to help the community understand all that OCC has to offer. Additionally, Ambassadors work in the office to assist with event preparation, office tasks, and assisting the Admissions Staff with various projects. Students sign up for shifts when they are available, and schedules are flexible to accommodate classes and schoolwork. Shifts are typically one to three hours in length with Open Houses being a full day (once a semester).Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing (2.0 gpa minimum) Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional, approachable, and friendly demeanor Availability to attend training sessions and scheduled events Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed for special programs Availability forFall and Spring Open House Additional Information:
Pay Rate:
Starting rate of $16.00 for new Student Workers. Starting rate of $17.00 for returning Student Workers.Hours of Operations:
Monday-Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm Student Workers may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.
