$20/hour + shared 5% sales commission + tips Seasonal weekend position — full-season availability strongly preferred Dancing Wings is looking for an outgoing, playful, dependable salesperson/performer to join us at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We sell large, flowing butterfly, fairy, dragon and fantasy wings. Our salespeople wear the wings, dance and demonstrate them, invite guests to try them on, help choose colors and styles, take photos, and close sales. This is not a sit-behind-the-counter retail job. You should genuinely enjoy talking to strangers, costumes, children, performing, and being a little silly in public. What we're looking for Very outgoing and comfortable approaching strangers Playful, expressive and enthusiastic Comfortable wearing costumes and demonstrating wings Friendly and patient with children Able to stand, move and work outdoors for long festival days Reliable and available throughout the TRF season Sales experience is helpful, but personality matters more Actors, dancers, cosplayers, performers and Renaissance Faire enthusiasts are encouraged to apply. Dance experience is not required. Our sales style is friendly and low-pressure: attract attention with the wings, invite people to try them, help them find something they love, and make the experience fun.
