Overview:
Revolutionary Expressions is a performing arts program dedicated to creating meaningful and positive productions and artistic experiences for youth, the community, and audiences abroad. We are seeking enthusiastic, talented, dependable, and innovative Dance Instructors specializing in hip-hop styles. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire, teach, and develop students of all ages through dance instruction and innovative choreography. As a Dance Instructor, you will help students build discipline, confidence, character, and technical skills while fostering a love for dance and artistic expression. You will lead energetic and engaging classes, develop comprehensive curricula, create innovative choreography, and cultivate a positive learning environment that encourages personal growth and creativity. If you are passionate about dance, have a flair for choreography, and enjoy working with diverse age groups, we would love to have you join our dynamic team!
DANCE INSTRUCTORS/CHOREOGRAPHERS
Responsibilities:
  • Teach dance skills and techniques (hip-hop, lyrical, human video)
  • Arrive to assignment on time
  • Create a lesson plan
  • Conduct minimal creative research
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with students and staff
Qualifications:
  • Must clear a background check from Leon County Schools
  • Must have talent in dance (hip-hop, lyrical) skills
  • Must be able to instruct dance to children (between ages 5-15)

  • Be patient with students Experience
  • Proven experience teaching dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Lyrical, or Human Video in educational or community settings
  • Strong background in choreography creation for performances or competitions
  • Experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in arts education environments
  • Knowledge of classroom management strategies to foster discipline while encouraging artistic exploration
  • Familiarity with childhood development principles relevant to arts instruction for various age groups including preschoolers and teenager
  • Additional experience in theater production, musical performance (including playing instruments), photography, ballet, sewing, or related creative arts enhances instructional versatility
Hour/Part-time:
These positions are part-time hours. Needed between 3:00-6:00 pm Mon-Friday (May also be needed as a substitute); flexible with schedules
