Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves developing and implementing dance curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will work closely with students to enhance their skills, creativity, and love for dance. We are also looking for a dance instructor to create and teach choreography for our musicals when needed.
Specifics:
Looking for Beginner and Advanced Tap, Certified Acro teacher and able to teach Elementary - High School in various styles of dance. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging dance curricula that cater to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on technique, creativity, and expression. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment. Provide individualized attention to students to support their growth and development in dance. Organize performances and showcase events to highlight student progress. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall educational experience. Maintain a positive rapport with students and parents, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate new techniques into lessons. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance. Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Familiarity with early childhood education principles is a plus. Additional skills in choreography & theater experience will be considered an asset. A commitment to fostering a supportive environment that encourages creativity and personal growth among students. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
