Overview Join our community as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer, where your passion for movement and creativity will inspire students of all ages and skill levels. In this dynamic role, you will teach classes and craft captivating choreography that celebrates the art of dance. Your energy and expertise will foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to express themselves confidently through movement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers while honing your artistic skills in a supportive setting.
Position Details Styles:
Ballet, Jazz, and Acro Age Groups:
Students ages 8-12 (class sizes limited to 12 students maximum)
Schedule:
Thursdays, late afternoon to evening hours
Starting Pay:
$30 per hr (rate increases based on experience, certifications, and performance)

Private lessons and masterclass instruction Responsibilities Teach engaging dance classes that promote technical skill, artistic expression, and physical fitness while maintaining a lively and motivating atmosphere. Create original choreography for performances and special events that showcase students' talents and progress. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by applying behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment for all learners. Provide individualized tutoring and feedback to help students improve their technique and confidence in dancing. Collaborate with colleagues on performance productions. Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress records, and assessments to track student development and tailor instruction accordingly. Requirements Proven experience in teaching dance or choreography with a strong background in related styles. Experience working with children. Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages. Strong communication skills for instructing students clearly and providing constructive feedback.
