Job Description

Job Summary CultureShockNGO is a non-profit organization that creates programming in Hip Hop dance to bring to youth in areas and populations that do not always have access to these types of programs. We are passionate about sharing our love for dance and looking for dedicated artists to join our team for various programs and events! Duties
  • Implement age-appropriate Hip Hop dance curriculum for students
  • Lead weekly dance class for youth of different ages and levels
  • Teach students proper Hip Hop foundations and history
  • Create a professional, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students; develop personal relationships with dancers
  • Be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude
  • Create choreography and an end of the term routine for the students to perform (if applicable) Experience
  • Previous experience working with youth NECESSARY, especially in recreational settings
  • Knowledge of Hip Hop style and technique
  • Ability to lead a room and create activities that cater to different learning styles
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and the CultureShockNGO team Details
  • We are looking to hire
RELIABLE
teachers for various programs
  • we are looking for a few educators for our programs, but ideally will find educators who want to teach moving in to the year as our programs will run throughout the school year
  • Most programs run during the week (Monday
  • Friday) after school hours (2:30
  • 5:30PM); some summer locations have morning/day time classes
  • MUST have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to various sites and schools for our programming (Burbank, Pasadena, Encino, Santa Monica, etc.
)

From $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have reliable transportation and are willing to commute to various neighborhoods in the LA area? (we have program locations as far as Santa Monica, Encino, Hollywood, Burbank, Pasadena, South Central).
