Job Description

Overview Dance & Company is looking for an experienced Hip Hop Dance Instructor who loves what they do, brings great energy into the room, and genuinely cares about their students. We're looking for someone who can deliver excellent technique and choreography while creating a positive, engaging, and age-appropriate classroom environment. Just as importantly, we value professionalism, reliability, communication, and consistency. Our teachers are an important part of our studio community, and we're looking for someone who takes that responsibility seriously. If you're passionate about hip hop, love teaching, and want to be part of a studio where the relationships you build matter just as much as the choreography you teach, we'd love to hear from you. Qualifications Strong training and demonstrated ability in hip hop dance Previous experience teaching children and/or teens Ability to confidently teach dancers across a range of ages and experience levels Strong choreography and musicality Ability to break down movement clearly and effectively Strong classroom management and communication skills Understanding of safe and appropriate conditioning and training practices Highly professional, dependable, punctual, prepared, and communicative Experience creating, cleaning, and staging choreography (across multiple levels/classes) for live performances Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Experience in additional styles

•including but not limited to: jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, musical theatre

Pay:

$25.00

•$45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 4.0 per week
