SY Class Sponsor Duties Junior Class Sponsor Fundraising:
Raise at least $500
Homecoming Banner Party:
Together with the other 3 class sponsors, host an evening event at the school, for students to create a cloth banner. The banner will be hung above their section in the gym for the pep assembly, and carried in the homecoming parade by students. Manage permission slips for students attending, and help organize food and beverages for the event.
Dance:
You are responsible for decorating/setting up for the Homecoming dance. $1000 (but do your best to spend quite a bit less) of the Homecoming dance proceeds are budgeted for dance decorations. Another 30% of the dance proceeds are deposited into the junior account.
Homecoming Court:
Facilitate elections for the male and female court representatives. Ensure that they are at Beacon by 5:30pm on the day of Homecoming and at the football field by halftime.
Spirit Week:
Shirts:
If your officers would like class shirts, facilitate the ordering process. The junior class needs to wear orange on Thursday of spirit week.
Pep Rally:
You are responsible for getting the freshmen to sign up for and participate in the pep rally games.
Class Officers:
Host regular meetings with these students to help them organize class events, fundraisers, and field trips. Facilitate elections in the spring for their senior year.
Prom:
Secure a prom date and venue for next year at the end of March.
