Choir Director Music 4 Humans Lakewood, CO Job Details Part-time | Contract $40 - $60 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Behavior management Piano Working with students Performing background checks Leadership Full Job Description We are looking for a passionate and dependable Choir Director to lead our children's choir program at the Music 4 Humans studio in Lakewood, Colorado . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young singers and knows how to make choir fun, energetic, and accessible. You will lead students through vocal warmups, songs, group singing activities, and performance preparation while helping them build confidence, musicianship, and a genuine love of singing. Classes are held at our studio: Music 4 Humans 1111 S Pierce St Lakewood, CO 80232 Responsibilities Lead engaging choir rehearsals for children. Teach healthy vocal technique, rhythm, pitch, harmony, and ensemble skills in an age-appropriate way. Select and prepare repertoire appropriate for the group. Help students prepare for recitals and performances. Create a positive, encouraging, and energetic rehearsal environment. Manage group dynamics and keep students engaged throughout rehearsals. Collaborate with the Music 4 Humans team on curriculum, repertoire, and performances. Bring creativity and your own musical experience to the program while supporting the overall Music 4 Humans approach to music education. Qualifications Previous experience directing choirs, teaching voice, or leading group singing. Strong vocal and musical background. Experience working with children is strongly preferred. Comfortable accompanying rehearsals on piano or keyboard is a plus. Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills. Patient, dependable, energetic, and enthusiastic about music education. Ability to successfully complete required background checks. Compensation Starting at $40 per hour.
