Working closely with clergy, staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers, this position coordinates and supports the liturgical and musical life of the parish as organist / pianist for weekend and Holy Day liturgies, weddings, and funerals as well as directing the Adult and Middle School Choirs and serving as support for other choirs. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a knowledge of Catholic liturgy and Church teaching with at least a Bachelor of Music Degree and five years of experience in a liturgical setting. Excellent organizational and communication skills are crucial. The candidate should be a team player. Speaking Spanish is helpful. The position includes coordination and preparation of parish liturgies and other celebrations, oversight of scheduling of liturgical ministries, securing liturgical supplies, recruitment and formation of liturgical ministers, worship planning, and collaboration with clergy and music ministry personnel.
