SEEKING DIRECTORS, MUSIC DIRECTORS, & ASSISTANT DIRECTORS FOR AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS!
BAMtheatre is looking for Teaching Artists, Theater Directors, and Music Directors to join our team. We focus on musical theatre education.
AFTER SCHOOL THEATRE TEACHERS
(after-school class) Classes are hosted at various schools in the western suburbs of Chicago Classes take place on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) for one hour after school (generally 3 - 4pm, with some variation). Teachers can work as few as 1 day a week or as many as 5! Starting September of 2026 •Please contact us with your resume for consideration!
REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with children, grades K-5 or 6 - 8 is a
HUGE PLUS!
Theater training and past directing experience preferred. Ability to supervise groups of children of different ages and create a safe, fun, and creative learning environment. Strong communication skills, especially with parents and school staff. Excellent collaboration with other teaching artists.
For Music Directors:
ability to teach music (piano not required, but preferred). Have reliable transportation to get to various locations in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.
